THE MEDIA - A TOOL OF INFLUENCE AND NATIONAL TRANSFORMATION #ELC2016

Putting on a show is Biblical. God, throughout the Bible, attracted audiences to his message by putting up a show.
Joshua, Moses, and even Jesus Christ put on shows to attract audiences for their causes.
Putting on a show helps to pass across a message in the most effective ways possible.
We were able to conquer the Ebola plaque last year through effective use of the media.
The media has become the most important tool of socialization and mobilization
Jesus Christ pioneered and deployed brand building during His period on earth. Jesus Christ had a brand promise.
Jesus Christ used storytelling, narratives and parables to sell His brand. He leveraged on public relations and marketing.
Instead of walking to a place, He rode on a donkey so he could command attention.
Jesus Christ believed in brand ambassadors before any other brand. He leverage on 12 disciples as ambassadors.
Jesus saw a crowd and went on a mountain to speak to them. He sold His message so powerfully and persuasively.
Christians have the most powerful message in the world. We have a powerful message to sell in God's love.
The church is in the business of audiences, reaching people everywhere. "God into the world and preach the gospel"
Therefore, the church is in the business of the media, hence God's strategic use of the media.
Culture is the way we dress and live; the collective of things that define the way we live.
We are doing Christian channels to preach God to people that have already found God.
But the gospel is for those who do not yet know Jesus.
If churches wants to be listened to, they must respond adequately to the new situation or risk not being heard.
If the church wants to be listened to, we must speak in the way that we would be heard.
There are so many people that haven't found Jesus who can only be reached through the media
The most important issues affecting Nigerians today are unemployment, bad news, sex, government.
The question is, how is the church reaching people through these key issues?
The last time Nigeria had good news in the last 12months was when 25 kidnapped citizens were released
Depression is now the leading cause of disability globally. The world needs Jesus Christ today, more than ever.
Research states that the church is now the 3rd lowest most respected institutions after banks. This is an all-time low rank.
You cannot transform me if I don't believe in your integrity and honesty.
The reason we've been so ineffective is simply because we're not following the style of the master.
There's too much condemnation in the church. We can't convert someone we condemn.
Can the gospel be shared in the way that it relates with people? Can it become the most important force in our lives?
We can't transform lives if we aren't relevant to the concerns of those lives.
We must learn to address sin with love.
You cannot influence people who don't think that you care about them.
If you divorce the Bible from the realities of the day, you've missed it.
It's impossible for us to be practicing the religion of Jesus Christ if you are not influential in the generation we live in
Our strategy should be: Message. Media. Culture.
Christians need to occupy the media space with messages tailored for this time so we can impact mindsets and transform lives
The reason why our message is effective as Christians is because it is all about Love.
Media plus leverage plus relevance leads to influence.

Go where the multitudes are and preach the message of love and grace.
